Xander Rivera
Xander is Kierann's next door neighbor and closest friend. Xander is also one of the few known half-breeds left in existence. He prides himself on being a human with "extra abilities" He is strongly connected to Kierann both physically and emotionally, though she does not harbor the same feelings towards him, he never gives up, but also never pressures her into more than she is willing to give, he knows his boundaries and stays just within the fine line.

Mirri is the oldest of the vampires and the proverbial "Queen of the Castle" She is head Elder of The Council and always making sure that the laws are being followed and vampires aren't being unruly.
Nash Ulrich
Nash is the alleycat that bit Kierann making her a kindred. He was ordered by Mirri to find her and bring her back to ensure that Kierann knows the law of the kindrend lands and an episode such as what happened with him and Kierann, doesn't happen again, But unbeknownst to Mirri, Nash has a plan all his own that doesn't involve following orders.
